MIG Welder

Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented welder to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will perform high-quality welds on metal components, follow production specifications, and help ensure finished products meet safety, quality, and performance standards. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, works well in a team environment, and is committed to maintaining a safe and efficient workspace. Responsibilities Perform welding operations on a variety of metal materials and assemblies according to job specifications. Set up welding equipment, select appropriate tools, and adjust machine settings as needed. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work orders, and weld symbols. Inspect completed welds for accuracy, quality, and compliance with requirements. Perform measurements and fit-up tasks to ensure proper alignment and assembly. Maintain welding equipment and report any mechanical or safety concerns promptly. Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and workplace guidelines. Work collaboratively with production, fabrication, and quality teams to meet deadlines. Keep work areas organized, clean, and free from hazards. Qualifications Previous welding experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or production environment. Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions. Knowledge of welding techniques, metal properties, and equipment setup. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Ability to use measuring tools and basic hand tools accurately. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to follow safety rules and wear required personal protective equipment. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift materials, and perform repetitive tasks as needed. Preferred Qualifications Formal welding training or certification. Experience with fabrication, assembly, or metal finishing. Familiarity with production schedules and lean manufacturing practices.
