We are seeking a Process Technician 3 to support process development, product development, and research & development activities within Lam Research's Deposition Engineering organization. In this role, you'll work directly with process engineers to execute experiments, operate advanced semiconductor processing equipment, collect and analyze data, and support the development of next-generation deposition technologies.

What You'll Do:

• Support Process Engineers in preparing wafer fabrication equipment (WFE) for testing and experimentation.
• Set up, operate, and monitor semiconductor processing equipment and related laboratory tools.
• Execute process experiments and test runs following engineering-defined procedures and recipes.
• Collect and document process data including film thickness, sheet resistance, film stress, particle performance, and related measurements.
• Submit and track samples for engineering evaluation and analysis.
• Operate deposition, CVD, etch, plating, and related semiconductor processing equipment.
• Prepare records, charts, and reports to support engineering reviews and process development activities.
• Provide technical assistance to process engineers and development teams.
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment, experiment setups, and laboratory systems.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement related to tooling, processes, and experimental methods.
• Support yield improvement, new product development, and R&D initiatives.

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring:

• 2+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, process development, laboratory operations, or technical production environments.
• Experience operating wafer fabrication equipment and semiconductor process tools.
• Experience collecting, documenting, and analyzing process or experimental data.
• Experience supporting engineering test plans, experiments, or development activities.
• Ability to work safely within a cleanroom environment while wearing PPE and cleanroom garments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow technical procedures and work instructions with a high degree of accuracy.

What Sets You Apart:

• Experience supporting advanced packaging or deposition process development.
• Hands-on experience with CVD, etch, plating, or related semiconductor equipment.
• Familiarity with metrology measurements such as film thickness, sheet resistance, film stress, and particle monitoring.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capabilities.
• Experience supporting research and development or engineering laboratory environments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to process discipline.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and cross-functional teams.
• Experience working overnight or extended shift schedules in manufacturing or R&D environments.

• Overtime: May be required based on project schedules and business needs.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a cleanroom environment while wearing PPE, cleanroom suit, or smock.
• Schedule: Graveyard Shift, Saturday through Tuesday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Top Skills: Wafer fabrication equipment testing, semiconductor process tool operation, process data collection, troubleshooting, and technical support for engineering development activities. and must meet with the hiring manager in person on or before their start date.
