We are seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable full-time childcare professional to join our team and make a lasting impact on the lives of children and their families. Must have a passion working with children and childcare experience is strongly preferred. AsaPrimary caregiveratMercyOne, you willprovide care for children ranging in age from six weeks to two years. Programs are designed around the developmental needs ofthe children. Actively knows, understands, incorporates, anddemonstratesthe organization’s mission and core values, including the Guiding Behaviors and Caring Model Principles, andalways conducts oneselfin a manner consistent with these values. Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal,Stateand local laws and regulations, Trinity Health’s Organizational Integrity Program, Standards of Conduct, as well as other policies and procedurestoensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest,ethicaland professional behavior. Demonstrates specific customer focused behaviors relating to attitude, privacy/confidentiality, communication skills, and professional behavior. Understands andattemptsto meet the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development of the infant, toddler, assesses needs and responds appropriately. Makes parents and teachers awareas towhenthe child is developmentally ready to move to the next classroom.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Maintains a professional, collaborative work environmentso as tofoster a positive public image for Mercy Medical Center. Knows and adheres to all laws and regulationspertaining topatient health,safetyand medical information (i.e.HIPAA, Stark, etc.) Must have well developed communicationskills,strong interpersonal and collaborative skills. Must like and be patient with children. Must be abletoaccompanythe children on outside field trips. Must have fundamental knowledge of the growth and development of the child, with particular emphasis on infants and toddlers. Mustbe flexible. Mustdemonstrategood hygiene techniquesin accordance withCenter guidelines. Assigned hours within your shift, starting time, or days of work are subject to change based onthe changing needs of the department and/or the organization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & CORE COMPETENCIES

(EDUCATION, LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED): Education, Licensure and Certification High School Diploma or equivalent required. Must earn 6 hours of continuing education in Early Childhood Education per year. Must meet all mandatory education and training requirements within specifiedtimeframesas required by organizational/regulatory standards. Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training isrequiredwithin 6 months of hireand every 3 years thereafter. Experience: One to twoyearspreviouswork experience with children and/or schooling in Early Childhood Education is highly desirable.
