Details Inpatient opportunity within a ~500 bed Level 1 Trauma center 20-bed inpatient rehab unit with more than 50% neuro cases (CVA, TBI, nTBI, SCI), LE amputation, and multi-trauma patients Approximately 170 patients on the acute OT caseload Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Weekend shifts required approximately 1 per month No holiday shifts required No floating required Epic EMR experience required Requirements Current Occupational Therapy license from Illinois required, if applicable BLS certification required Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required Epic charting experience required Level 1 Trauma center experience required Ability to perform patient transfers from bed, chair, and floor with assistance as needed Demonstrated knowledge of safe body mechanics to reduce risk of injury to self, staff, and patients Additional Information Evaluate and treat patients of all ages, serving as a clinical resource for staff and students Design and adjust individualized plans of care integrating goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge planning Perform patient examinations and screenings using standardized outcomes measures relevant to chief complaint and history Provide education and training to patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare providers Supervise COTAs and rehabilitation technicians in accordance with regulatory guidelines Communicate patient status, progress, and discharge recommendations with the medical team Document evaluations and treatment plans in accordance with departmental and regulatory standards Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted RTO limited to no more than 7 days total during the 13-week contract Contingent workers cannot remain on assignment at this facility for more than 1 year and must convert or take a 6-month break in service before returning American Traveler Job ID P-712743.
