Classroom placements include:

• Elementary: 10 positions
• Middle School: 5 positions
• High School: 4 positions
• Bridges Program/Alternative School (all grades, severe behaviors): 2 positions

Qualifications:

• Valid Kansas teaching license for your intended grade level (must be active before assignment)
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher highly preferred
• Skill working with students in life skills, autism, or behavior-focused classrooms
• Ability to adapt instructional approaches to meet diverse student needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Deliver targeted instruction to support academic, behavioral, and social goals
• Utilize evidence-based strategies and data-driven decisions to promote student progress
• Foster a supportive classroom environment that celebrates student success
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for holistic student support
• Maintain accurate records and documentation according to school requirements
