Territory Sales Manager

Location: CT (territory-based; field sales) Our client, Restaurant City, sells supplies, equipment, small wares, and furnishings to restaurants and food service operators across CT, RI, MA and NY. They serve a mix of walk-in cash-and-carry customers and larger project-based work, including mid-sized restaurant fit-out and build jobs. What you’ll do Own and grow a territory: maintain and expand relationships with existing accounts while prospecting and developing new business. Build a pipeline across both transactional re-supply and larger project-based fit-out/ build opportunities. Work consultatively with operators on equipment selection, specs, and pricing to scope jobs that fit their needs and budget. Partner with internal estimating, design/CAD, and project resources to turn opportunities into closed, deliverable jobs. Manage your accounts through the full cycle -quote, close, hand-off, and follow-through - so customers come back. Hit and grow against territory volume targets. Must be able to travel locally with the use of your personal vehicle. Must have valid US driver's license. What you bring Demonstrated B2B or field sales experience, ideally in restaurant supply, foodservice equipment, or an adjacent distribution/wholesale industry. A track record of building and managing a book of business and growing territory volume. Comfort with consultative, solution-based selling - scoping needs, not just taking orders. Strong relationship and follow-through skills; operators buy from reps they trust. Self-directed and organized; able to manage a pipeline independently. Familiarity with restaurant operations or equipment is a strong plus. Compensation and benefits Competitive base salary plus volume-based incentive compensation; total earnings scale with the size and growth of your book.
