Training Program All hired nurses will complete a comprehensive 3‑week paid training program : 2 weeks of classroom training in Long Island City (LIC) 1 week of supervised field training This program is designed to ensure confidence and success in the role before independently managing patient visits. Key Responsibilities Provide skilled hospice nursing care to patients in their homes Conduct follow‑up hospice visits Administer medications and treatments as ordered Provide wound care management Perform IV therapy and related interventions Conduct patient pronouncements when appropriate Monitor and manage pain and symptom control Collaborate with interdisciplinary hospice team members Educate patients and families on care plans and symptom management Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Provide emotional support to clients and families Clinical Skills Required Candidates should have hands‑on experience with: IV therapy Midline catheter management Tracheostomy care Foley catheter care Ostomy care Nephrostomy tube care Tenckhoff catheter management Tube feeding administration Chest tube management Advanced wound care Pain and symptom management Qualifications Active and unrestricted New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license Bilingual in Spanish and English required Minimum 2 years of recent experience in one or more of the following: Hospice, ICU, Med‑Surg, Community Health, Oncology Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and care planning skills EMR proficiency (WellSky experience preferred; training provided) Recent physical exam (within 1 year) Current PPD/QuantiFERON (within 1 year) or chest X‑ray (within 5 years) MMR immunization documentation Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Authorized to work in the United States Ability to work independently in a field‑based setting Competitive Compensation & Benefits Competitive weekly pay Weekly direct deposit Referral bonus opportunities Streamlined onboarding process Professional Support Supportive clinical leadership Collaborative team environment Thorough training and ongoing guidance Affirmed Home Care is an Equal Opportunity Employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr Affirmed Home Care, Inc.
