Automotive Office Manager

Automotive Office Manager The Automotive Controller is responsible for overseeing the dealership's accounting and financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls and regulatory compliance. The Controller works closely with the Dealer Principal, General Manager, department managers, and accounting staff to monitor dealership performance. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Management Oversee all dealership accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and financial reporting. Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closings. Prepare and review monthly financial statements and dealership financial reports. Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and ensure proper account reconciliation. Monitor cash flow and dealership banking activities. Review and approve accounting transactions in accordance with company policies. Automotive Dealership Operations Review deal paperwork and ensure accurate posting of vehicle transactions. Monitor floorplan accounts, curtailments, interest expense, and vehicle inventory. Reconcile vehicle inventory and related receivables. Monitor warranty receivables, factory receivables, and other outstanding accounts. Review accounts receivable aging and ensure timely collection. Verify manufacturer incentives, rebates, and other receivables are properly recorded. Qualifications Previous Controller, Assistant Controller, Office Manager, or senior dealership accounting experience preferred. Strong knowledge of dealership accounting principles and financial statements. Experience with automotive DMS systems and manufacturer financial reporting. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
