Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

As a Special Education Teacher, you’ll create a nurturing, inclusive classroom for students with diverse learning needs, shaping the future while growing professionally.

What We’re Looking For:

• Current New York Special Education Teacher license
• Certification to teach grades 1-6
• Strong understanding of instructional strategies and IEP implementation
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
• Enthusiasm for creating positive learning experiences tailored to individual strengths and needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging lessons that accommodate a variety of learning styles in an elementary setting
• Develop, review, and modify Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in partnership with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Assess student progress, adapt instructional methods, and maintain detailed documentation
• Foster a safe, inclusive space where each child can thrive socially, emotionally, and academically
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure all students receive appropriate services
• Effectively communicate with parents, guardians, and district representatives to support student success
