Technical Writer

Technical WriterOur client, an utility and energy generation and distribution company, is looking for a Technical Writer for their Reno, NV location.Responsibilities:Provides technical writing and content management support for creating and maintaining project management related policies, procedures, manuals, white papers, presentations and other documentation as required.Identify opportunities to improve documentation processes and increase efficiency.Assist with implementation and continuous improvement of PMO methodologies and best practices.Maintain version control and document management protocols.Participates in meetings or interviews with subject matter experts to obtain technical understanding and clarification of documentation requirements.Coordinates requests for documentation and evidence.Creates spreadsheets that compile large sets of data for evaluation and presentationEnsures all compliance aspects of position are known and followed; understands and complies with all policies, codes and regulations applicable to position and company.Performs related duties as assigned.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, English, Business Administration, Engineering Technology, Project Management, or a related field.Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.3-7 years of technical writing, project documentation, or project controls experience.Experience supporting capital projects, engineering projects, construction projects, or utility operations preferred.Experience working in a regulated industry strongly preferred.Familiarity with transmission, distribution, substation, or utility infrastructure projects is desirable.Advanced technical writing, editing, and document formatting skills.Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.Knowledge of project lifecycle management and PMO processes.Why Should You Apply?Health BenefitsReferral ProgramExcellent growth and advancement opportunities
