Process Development Senior Associate

Amgen seeks a Process Development Senior Associate to join the Oral and Enabling Delivery Systems group, developing oral solid dosage forms for early-stage clinical programs. The role combines hands-on laboratory experimentation, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration with increasing scientific ownership and process optimization responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Execute formulation and process development experiments for oral solid dosage forms, including hands-on application of key unit operations
• Plan and execute material and powder characterization studies; contribute to experimental design based on results
• Analyze experimental data and document work in electronic laboratory notebooks to support development decisions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate results through technical presentations and reports
• Support scale-up activities, technology transfer, and development of team tools and systems for continuous improvement

Requirements

• Master's degree in relevant field, or Bachelor's plus 2 years formulation lab experience, or equivalent combination
• Hands-on experience with oral solid dosage form development and unit operations (blending, granulation, compression)
• Proficiency in powder and solid dosage form characterization techniques
• Demonstrated ability to execute experiments independently and translate results into actionable insights
• Experience in GMP pharmaceutical development environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
