Process Development Senior Associate

Amgen's Pre-Pivotal Biologics Attribute Sciences group seeks a Senior Associate in Thousand Oaks, California to support analytical method development and product characterization for early-stage biotherapeutic candidates advancing toward clinical trials.
Responsibilities
- Generate, analyze, and critically evaluate analytical data from LC, CE, mass spectrometry methods
- Support analytical method optimization, verification, and troubleshooting across early-stage programs
- Provide technical leadership identifying automation opportunities to reduce manual, repetitive work
- Contribute to process improvements and cross-functional partnerships promoting consistent practices
- Maintain electronic notebook records and author technical protocols and reports with compliance
Requirements
- Master's degree OR Bachelor's degree with 2+ years scientific experience
- 3+ years experience in industrial analytical laboratories characterizing protein therapeutics
- Advanced expertise in analytical methods: CE, SEC, IEX, RP, HILIC, stability-indicating assays
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and troubleshooting capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for scientific presentations
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in team-based, multidisciplinary environments
- Proactive mindset with enthusiasm for digital solutions and automation in science
