Firefighter/ParamedicThe Village is seeking candidates for Firefighter/Paramedic. The Firefighter/Paramedic is responsible for fire suppression, fire inspection, vehicle and fire station maintenance, hazardous material response, rescue operations and emergency medical services. The Village is recruiting for a 56 hour per week Firefighter/Paramedic position. The 56 hour per week position would work 24 hour shifts.Please submit a cover letter, resume and complete the employment application. The Village is also accepting applications for lateral transfers, previous service will be evaluated to determine commensurate pay and vacation time. Human Resources in consultation with the Fire Chief shall have final determination for placement on Local 1777 CBA wage and vacation schedule. Wage Schedule: Start: $22.86 per hour/$66,578.78 annual After 1 year: $24.95 per hour/$72,667.21 annual After 2 years: $27.05 per hour/$78,755.76 annual After 3 years: $29.14 per hour/$84,844.11 annual After 4 years: $31.23 per hour/$90,932.60 annual After 5 years: $33.43 per hour/$97,336.08 annual Pursuant to Collective Bargaining Agreement in effect. Resides within the corporate limits or within twenty (20) miles of the corporate limits of the Village of Greendale, within one month after completion of probationary period. This position requires a 18-month probationary period.
