Locksmith I (Monday - Friday 7:55 am - 4:25 pm)

Job Summary Install, repair, rebuild and service mechanical locking devices located at various entry points on and within campus buildings. Maintain related records. Interact with coworkers, facility forepersons, contractors and vendors. Responsibilities Install or replace locking devices at assigned locations. Assemble and disassemble locks; repair or replace worn parts. Cut keys by code or by tracing. Store and maintain master keys for campus facilities. Requisition parts and materials as directed. Maintain records. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma. Two to three years of job‑related experience. Skills This job requires working knowledge of lock and access equipment installation and maintenance, proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment, maintaining stock, providing customer service, and use of specialized computer applications. Other Information Job Grade: C5A Pay Range: $17.48 - $21.78 Location: Atlanta, GA Shift: Monday - Friday 7:55 am - 4:25 pm This is not a supervisory position. This position does not have financial responsibilities. This position will be required to drive. This role is considered a position of trust. This position does not require a purchasing card (P‑Card). This position will not travel. This position does not require security clearance.
