Job Description:

The Full-Time Classroom Special Education Teacher will be responsible for implementing lesson plans for students with developmental disabilities in accordance with NYSED Guidelines.

• 12 month position (school calendar plus 6 week summer session)
• Hours: 8:00-3:00 Monday to Friday
• 12 month salary: Commensurate with Education and experience
• Salary $52,000 - $55,000
• Medical, dental, vision and Aflac plans available; PTO; paid school breaks and holidays; 403b 
• Discounted Child Care (full or part time) available on-site

The successful candidate will possess:

• NYSED certification: Students with Disabilities Birth - Grade 2 and/or Students with Disabilities Grades 1-6
• Ability to develop and implement differentiated instruction in accordance with NYSED standards 
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members
• Highly proficient written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis highly preferred
• Bi-lingual a plus
