Schedule Options:

• 8:25am – 2:40pm

• 8:05am – 2:20pm

• 12 months / 5 days per week

Salary:

• $30,828 annually – NYS Certified Teacher Assistants

• $29,324 annually – Teacher Aides

This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to work in the field of special education. You’ll collaborate with teachers, fellow aides/assistants, and therapists in a supportive environment. This role is perfect for college students or recent high school graduates seeking hands-on experience working with children with special needs.

• School year follows most district calendars.

• Small classroom settings (6–12 students).

• 12-month positions include the 10-month academic year plus a 6-week summer session.

• Paid holidays and school breaks (Winter, February, Spring, and summer breaks surrounding the session).

• Caring, compassionate individuals eager to work with students ages 3–12 with developmental disabilities.

• Comfort assisting with social, emotional, and academic development, as well as personal care.

• High school diploma or equivalent (required) .

• Prior special education classroom experience a plus.

• Ability to lift children weighing up to 50 lbs.

• Must complete an initial medical exam and background clearances.

• Teacher Aides who pursue and obtain NYS Assistant Teacher Certification will be reimbursed for all costs by Little Village (details provided at interview).
