Position Summary The Workday Financial Systems Analyst is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Workday Financial Management to support enterprise-wide accounting, reporting, and financial operations. This role partners closely with Finance, Accounting, FP&A, and IT teams to ensure alignment across financial systems and planning platforms, supporting budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making processes.


The Analyst ensures the integrity of financial data, accuracy of reporting, and effective system functionality across upstream and downstream financial applications.


Key Responsibilities

• Configure, support, and maintain Workday Financial Management modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Expenses, and Asset Management
• Partner with Finance and Accounting stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into scalable system solutions
• Support and monitor integrations between Workday Financials and enterprise planning systems, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
• Troubleshoot and resolve financial system and transactional issues; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
• Design, develop, and maintain financial reports and dashboards using Workday reporting tools
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning processes by ensuring reliable financial data flows
• Provide end-user support, training, and documentation to promote effective system utilization and self-service capabilities
• Participate in month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliation and validation activities
• Collaborate on system governance, enhancements, and capacity planning initiatives
• Ensure alignment of financial data structures, integrations, and reporting across systems

Qualifications/Required Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience supporting Workday Financial Management (GL, AP, AR, Expenses, Asset Management)
• Experience supporting or partnering with enterprise budgeting and planning systems (e.g., Adaptive, Anaplan, Oracle PBCS, or similar)
• Experience with financial reporting, dashboards, and reconciliations
• Experience with financial data integrations, transformations, and validation processes
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across Finance, Accounting, and IT

Skills:

• Strong understanding of Workday Financials data structures, business processes, and security
• Proficiency in Workday reporting tools (Report Writer, calculated fields, composite reports)
• Ability to analyze and manage financial data flows between systems
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Familiarity with ERP implementation and support methodologies (Agile, SDLC)
