Posting Number: req25072 | Department: James C Wyant Coll Optical Sci | Location: Tucson Campus | Address: Tucson, AZ USA Duties & Responsibilities The College administrative team assists faculty with the composition, review and submission of proposals, handling an average of 200 proposals, awards and award modifications yearly with an average total value of $40M. This includes compiling and reviewing proposal budgets and required documents for federal, state, industry and philanthropic sponsors. Proposal packages span the scope of sponsors and are often submitted in online systems such as Grants.gov, Research.gov, ASSIST, etc. Internal UA routing is done through the UAccess Research system. Assist with routing of contracts and liaising with the University Contracts Office to facilitate faculty conducting industry-sponsored research through NDAs, SBIR/STTR. Work in consultation with the Associate Dean on complex contract negotiation. Assist with pre-award compliance requirements across export control, Conflict of Interest, human subjects and other pre-award compliance areas. Coordinate with Contracts or other appropriate compliance offices as needed. Responsible for filing and communicating incoming awards and sub-awards, including assisting with outgoing sub-awards in coordination with the Business Office. Communicate effectively with different groups and individuals. Basic knowledge of accounting practices. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
