RN - Dialysis

Registered Nurse - Acute Hemodialysis

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day 3x12-Hour Shift: 06:45 AM - 07:15 PM. Every other weekend required.

The Registered Nurse will provide care in an Acute Hemodialysis unit, managing patients with various renal conditions, including end-stage renal disease, chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, and peritoneal dialysis complications. The nurse will work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and adhere to safety protocols during treatments.

Responsibilities:

• Administer hemodialysis treatments with competence using Fresenius equipment.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to changes in health status.
• Perform CAPD and assist with procedures and emergent patient needs.
• Maintain accurate patient records in electronic systems (EPIC, Pyxis).
• Educate patients and their families about dialysis processes and home care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in acute hemodialysis.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Experience with Baxter equipment for peritoneal dialysis preferred.
• Active RN license; NC or Compact license pending must be acceptable for submission.
