Registered Nurse - Float Pool (Nights)

This is a 13-week contract position for a Registered Nurse in the Float Pool, working 12-hour night shifts. This role requires comprehensive patient assessment, effective medication treatment, care coordination, patient education, and emergency response skills.

Responsibilities

• Performing comprehensive assessments upon admission and monitoring condition trends throughout the patient's hospital stay.
• Preparing, administering, and charting prescribed medications (including IVs) and managing wound care or specialized equipment.
• Collaborating with physicians, case managers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans.
• Instructing patients and families on post-surgery care, medication schedules, and post-discharge instructions.
• Recognizing early signs of medical deterioration and taking swift action to stabilize patients before emergencies occur.

Schedule

12-hour night shifts, with every other weekend required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of Medical-Surgical (MS) and Telemetry experience (required).
• BLS certification (AHA).
• Current RN licensure in Michigan.
