In addition to standard operator duties, the Lead Operator will serve in a limited supervisory capacity during the absence of the Plant Manager or Plant Supervisor, providing leadership and support to ensure production continuity and compliance with safety standards.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Operate chemical processing equipment, such as digesters, mixers, pumps, and control systems.Measure and monitor materials to ensure conformance with production requirements.Adjust settings and control parameters to meet quality and efficiency standards.Conduct inspections and tests to maintain product quality and equipment safety.Collaborate with team members to meet and exceed production targets.Safety & Compliance:Follow all safety protocols and regulatory requirements to ensure a secure work environment.Conduct routine safety checks and promptly report hazards or unsafe conditions.Participate in safety training sessions and foster a safety-first culture.Maintenance & Troubleshooting:Diagnose and resolve equipment issues or process irregularities.Perform minor repairs and adjustments to maintain production continuity.Work closely with maintenance personnel to ensure timely equipment repairs.Qualifications:High school diploma or GED required1-2 years of experience in plant operations, mechanical, equipmentPreferred experience in mechanical maintenance, plumbing, electrical work, and/or operation of heavy equipmentAbility to perform heavy lifting as neededProficiency in data collection and analysisStrong aptitude for basic math calculationsMechanical knowledge for equipment troubleshootingWorking Conditions:Work in a chemical plant environment with exposure to chemicals, heat, and noise.Flexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.Ability to respond to emergencies outside regular working hours.Physical Requirements:Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch.Regularly lift, carry, or push up to 60 pounds.Exposure to high heat and industrial conditions.Ready to Build a Future with C&S?If you're ready to join a company that values integrity, reliability, and dedication while supporting your growth, C&S Chemicals is the place for you.
