Pay: $25.00–$35.00 per hour, based on experience

About the Position

Aranco Oil Company is a family-owned and operated business seeking a reliable, motivated, and mechanically inclined Maintenance Technician to join our team.

We own and maintain numerous commercial properties, gas stations, convenience stores, and related equipment throughout Southern New Hampshire.

This is a full-time, year-round position based out of Concord, NH, offering competitive pay, excellent benefits, a take-home company truck, overtime opportunities, and additional compensation for participating in our rotating on-call schedule.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who enjoys working independently, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and handling a variety of maintenance and repair projects. No two days are exactly alike!

Responsibilities

Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Fuel Equipment: Troubleshoot, service, and maintain fuel dispensers and related equipment.
• Car Wash Equipment: Perform routine maintenance, diagnose problems, and complete repairs.
• General Property Maintenance: Handle plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, carpentry, and other general repairs.
• Preventative Maintenance: Inspect and maintain equipment and facilities to help prevent breakdowns.
• Compliance Testing: Assist with required inspections, testing, and maintenance of fuel systems.
• Exterior Maintenance: Perform brush cutting, minor concrete repairs, and general property upkeep.
• Emergency Service: Respond to equipment failures and urgent maintenance requests during scheduled on-call rotations.
• Troubleshooting: Identify problems, determine solutions, and complete repairs efficiently and safely.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of maintenance or mechanical experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or commercial equipment is a plus.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
• Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and willing to learn new skills.
• Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Experience with fuel dispensers or car wash equipment is a plus, but not required. Training will be provided.

Schedule & On-Call Rotation

Regular Work Schedule:

• Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–5:00 PM
• Full-time, year-round employment
• Overtime opportunities available

On-Call Responsibilities:

This position participates in a rotating on-call schedule to provide emergency maintenance assistance outside regular business hours.

• Typically one week per month, subject to staffing and operational needs.
• On-call rotation begins Friday at 5:00 PM and ends the following Friday at 7:30 AM.
• Employees receive an additional flat weekly on-call stipend for each assigned on-call rotation.
• Employees are also paid for hours worked responding to service calls.
• Time-and-a-half (1.5× regular pay) for all hours worked over 40 in a workweek.
• Must be available to respond to emergency maintenance calls during assigned rotations.
