Neuro Med/Surg Tele Nurse

Location: Maryland

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day shift - 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00). Every other weekend and holiday required.

Job Description: This position involves providing care in a Med/Surg Telemetry Certified Stroke Center. The nurse will primarily handle neuro-related diagnoses while also managing telemetry overflow for other patient populations, ensuring a well-rounded skill set.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage patients with neurological conditions and telemetry needs.
• Perform basic EKG testing and interpret results.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies.
• Conduct necessary assessments and chart patient data using electronic systems.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Neurology and Med/Surg Tele nursing.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required.
• NIHSS competency must be demonstrated prior to attending Orientation.
• Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required at the time of submission.
