Summary of Role:

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Field Application Engineer based inSanta Clara CA (preferred) or Austin TXto provide technical support to customers and help align GF technology offerings with targeted application and market needs.

This 2027 New College Graduate role will engage with customers and internal technical experts to support evaluations of GlobalFoundries technologies drive design wins and help convert opportunities through design-in tapeout and first-time-right silicon outcomes.

Essential Responsibilities include:

• Engage withcustomers to understand technical needs for semiconductor IC product development and align those needs with GF technology solutions.

• Gain a strong understanding of GlobalFoundries technology offerings by engaging with internal experts to explore key features and differentiators.

• Collaborate with internal teams account managers product marketing and technical experts to create compelling application-specific technical presentations and proposals.

• Support customers through technical evaluations design-in activities andtapeoutprocesses in partnership with GF subject matter experts.

• Develop clear customer-facing technical documentation thatdemonstrateshow GF technologies address targeted application and market challenges.

• Identifyand resolve technical issues or concerns that mayimpactdesignwin conversiontapeoutreadiness or customer adoption of GF solutions.

Other Responsibilities:

• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental Health Safety & Securityrequirementsand programs.

Required Qualifications:

• Education Graduating withBachelorsorMastersinElectrical Engineering Scienceor related field froman accredited degree program.

• Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and proven good academic standing.

• Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)

• Travel - Up to 10%

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior related internship or co-op experience.

• Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace school projects competitions etc.

• Strong interest inleveragingAI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity streamline workflows and support effective decision-making.

• Project management ability to innovate and execute solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Strong planning & organizational skills

• Coursework in Circuit Design Semiconductor Device Physics or Materials Science.

• Proficiencywith Microsoft Office tools EDA software and Linux operating systems.
