Construction Litigation Associate Location: Albany, NY (Hybrid: 3 weeks remote / 1 week office per month) Salary: $135,000 - $170,000 per year Bonus: starts at 2,000 billable hours About the Firm We are a well‑established law firm serving clients since 1850, specializing in construction litigation. Responsibilities Represent clients in construction defect, commercial construction disputes, and property damage cases. Conduct thorough investigations, gathering all relevant facts and evidence. Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients. Advise clients on their legal rights and options. Present cases in court, articulate arguments, and conduct cross‑examinations. Keep abreast of changes in construction laws and regulations. Collaborate with the legal team to develop effective strategies for each case. Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics. Qualifications Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school. Admission to the New York State Bar. Minimum 3 years of experience in construction litigation, specifically dealing with construction defect, commercial construction disputes, and property damage. Proven track record of successfully representing clients in construction‑related cases. Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve disputes amicably. High level of professionalism and a strong commitment to client service.
