Classroom Aide

The Archdiocese of St. Louis strives to teach and share our faith, serve others, and foster unity throughout the St. Louis area. Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

The Classroom Aide supports the lead teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and faith-filled learning environment. The aide assists with instructional activities, classroom management, and student supervision while helping to foster the Catholic identity and values of the school community.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher with daily classroom instruction and learning activities.
• Support individual students or small groups under the direction of the teacher.
• Help maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Supervise students during class activities, transitions, lunch, and recess.
• Reinforce positive behavior and model the school's Catholic values.
• Prepare instructional materials, learning centers, and classroom resources.
• Assist with clerical and organizational tasks such as copying, sorting, or filing.
• Participate in required staff meetings, professional development, and trainings.

Job Requirements

Experience working with children in a school or educational setting preferred. Ability to follow directions and collaborate with teachers and staff. Patience, kindness, reliability, and a positive attitude. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus. Willingness to support and uphold the Catholic mission and identity of the school.
