About the Role

The Company is seeking an Assistant General Counsel with a focus on commercial partnerships to join their dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of the company's global business operations, serving as a strategic legal partner across all departments. This role is pivotal in managing a wide range of commercial contracts and supporting the company in its partnerships, procurement, licensing, and vendor relationships. The Assistant General Counsel will lead the legal efforts for product partnerships, working closely with cross-functional teams to craft and launch innovative and strategically significant products and partnerships. Responsibilities include driving legal strategy for complex commercial arrangements, advising on commercial legal matters, and overseeing the development of legal templates and risk management frameworks. Applicants for this role at the company should have a J.D. or equivalent legal degree, with an active license to practice law, and at least 8 years of commercial legal experience. A proven track record in leading complex commercial transactions, particularly in a global environment, is essential. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of product development and go-to-market strategies from a legal perspective, excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills, and demonstrated leadership experience. While not mandatory, experience in fintech, crypto, or other highly regulated sectors, as well as a passion for emerging technologies, is highly valued. The role requires the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment and to collaborate closely with compliance, tax, and regulatory teams to assess legal risk and implement practical solutions.
