Are you a problem solver with a passion for troubleshooting and fixing issues? Sohn Linen, a leading linen service provider in Lansing, MI, is seeking a talented Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and facilities.
Compensation:
This will be an hourly position with pay based on experience. Increase occurs once fully trained to work on equipment independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment performance
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues in a timely manner
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions to maintain production efficiency
- Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Experience in preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of industrial equipment (1-3 years) is a plus but not required
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
