Details Hospital-based Labor and Delivery unit Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM 13-week assignment length Full-time position Requirements Active RN license in TX or compact BSN preferred 1 year of related nursing specialty experience preferred Current NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) or AWHONN Intermediate FHM certification required Current BLS certification (AHA only) Current ACLS certification (AHA only) Current NRP certification Perinatal RN Residency or recent Perinatal setting experience preferred Additional Information Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation Administers medications and treatments per protocol while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided Assesses learning needs and educates patients, families, and caregivers Newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member with onboarding validated through organizational and perinatal-specific competency checks Annual competency verification requirements must be completed Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for travel pay, though local candidates may be considered when the position specifically states so Previous non-travel employment at any CHRISTUS Health facility requires a 6-month separation before starting a travel assignment American Traveler Job ID P-747866.
