Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: 08/31/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse - Perinatal Care Schedule Nights - 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Job Description The competent Nurse, in the same or similar clinical setting, practices independently and demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides routine and complex care, with the ability to align actions with long-range goals or plans. Continues to develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing. Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as a means to help manage the clinical situation. Responsibilities Meets expectations of the applicable competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with their level of practice. Administers medications and treatments using the appropriate protocol; monitors for side effects and effectiveness of treatment. Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given. Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identifies issues and resources. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred. 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred. Current certification required from one of the following: AWHONN Intermediate FHM, or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM). Current BLS, NRP, and ACLS certification required (AHA only).
