PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for processing weekend offering including bank deposit and reconciliation of all cash and checks received Enter and process preschool income, other income and ministry income Daily entry of credit card and ACH donations. Enter in the accounting system and verify data integrity between credit card processing system, accounting system and internal database Provide weekly report to executive team including attendance and giving stats Maintain database records on member giving and generate annual contribution statements. Develop and execute generosity system which includes acknowledging first time gifts, new recurring givers, etc. Setup new vendors in accounting system and ensure proper tax and insurance requirements are completed prior to invoice entry. Responsible for the accounts payable process for all locations. Invoice entry into expense management system, export to accounting system and check printing Prepare annual 1099’s Oversee staff credit cards. Issue new cards, manage credit limits, expense coding follow up, transfer to accounting system and monthly reconciliation Maintain organized and up-to-date financial files and records. Monthly reconciliation of giving by location. Assist in preparing reports for church leadership and finance committees. Support budget preparation and annual financial audits. Ensure compliance with church policies and applicable financial regulations. Handle sensitive financial data with discretion and integrity. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must be a committed Christian whose beliefs align with the mission and values of EastLake Church Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience). Experience with bookkeeping or accounting (experience in a church or nonprofit setting is a plus). Familiarity with Sage Intacct accounting software Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office applications. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: May require occasional evening or weekend hours for special events or reporting deadlines. The successful candidate must be able to fulfill the job's physical demands, including walking, stooping, sitting, bending, reaching for overhead files, and occasionally lifting (up to 15 pounds). Must be able to perform tasks involving manual dexterity, such as computer use. Work will sometimes require more than 8 hours per day or an irregular work week to perform the essential duties of the position. Duties will be performed primarily in an office-type environment and may require travel to external locations.
