Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments to gauge clients' symptoms and formulate accurate diagnoses, taking into account their unique life circumstances and mental health history. Collaboratively develop tailored treatment plans that are specifically designed to meet the individual needs, preferences, and goals of each client. Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to help clients effectively manage and overcome their mood disorders. Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, available treatment options, and practical self-care strategies to enhance overall well-being. Continuously monitor clients' progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes and adherence to therapeutic goals. Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to integrate pharmacological and therapeutic interventions for comprehensive patient care. Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and assessments to comply with ethical and legal standards. Engage in ongoing professional development and training, while actively participating in case consultations to enhance your therapeutic skills and knowledge base. Serve as a client advocate, addressing stigma associated with mood disorders and promoting awareness of mental health needs within the community. Patient Population / Client Focus Your work will primarily focus on individuals experiencing various mood disorders, often characterized by significant emotional distress and impairment in daily functioning. You will engage with clients from a variety of backgrounds, tailoring your therapeutic approach to fit their specific circumstances and cultures. Helping clients connect with their strengths, coping mechanisms, and support systems is central to promoting resilience and recovery. Qualifications A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Pennsylvania. At least two years of post-licensure experience, with a demonstrated specialization in treating mood disorders. Proficiency in evidence-based treatment techniques, specifically CBT and DBT, with a solid understanding of their application in mood disorder interventions. Strong communication skills with a proven ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Preferred Experience Documented success in facilitating positive therapeutic outcomes for clients with mood disorders. A familiarity with psychopharmacology and effective collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals. Active engagement in continuous learning and professional development focused on mental health treatment advancements.
