We are currently seeking a motivated Leasing Agent to join our Property Management Team. This role offers the opportunity to work with prospective residents, property owners, and internal team members to help drive occupancy, deliver exceptional customer service, and support the continued growth of our managed portfolio. Position Summary

The Leasing Agent is responsible for managing the leasing process for a portfolio of single-family rental homes under the supervision of the Property Management team. This role includes marketing available properties, responding to inquiries, conducting property showings, screening applicants, processing lease paperwork, and maintaining communication with prospective and current residents. The Leasing Agent will ensure compliance with company policies, fair housing regulations, and industry best practices while helping maximize occupancy across the portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Maximize occupancy by generating qualified leads and leasing available single-family homes
• Answer incoming phone calls, emails, and online inquiries from prospective residents
• Conduct property showings and effectively present available homes
• Follow up on leads and maintain accurate records within company databases and software systems
• Process and verify rental applications and supporting documentation
• Coordinate lease preparation, execution, and move-in procedures
• Maintain professional and courteous communication with property owners, residents, prospects, vendors, and team members
• Provide exceptional service to prospective residents and facilitate a smooth transition from application through move-in.
• Monitor market conditions, rental rates, and competitor activity to support leasing strategies
• Perform outreach marketing to increase visibility and leasing activity
• Collaborate with Property Managers and other departments to ensure a smooth resident experience
• Develop proficiency in the company’s property management software systems
• Attend training and professional development opportunities as required
• Coordinate with maintenance and property management teams to ensure vacant properties are prepared for marketing and occupancy.
• Conduct rental market analysis and provide feedback on pricing, marketing effectiveness, and leasing trends.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of residential leasing, property management, real estate, or related experience preferred
• Knowledge of Texas landlord-tenant laws
• Experience leasing single-family homes
• Weekend availability as needed
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
• Positive, friendly, and professional attitude with strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Superior customer service and relationship-building abilities
• Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet-based applications
• Experience with Yardi or similar Property Management software
• Working knowledge of online marketing and internet search techniques
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong business vocabulary, grammar, and communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

 

Salary : $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
