Personal Care Assistant

The Personal Care Assistant role involves providing essential personal care services to clients, including bathing, grooming, ambulation, meal preparation, and assisting with feeding, while following individualized care plans. Applicants should have a high school diploma (preferred) and a minimum of 6 months caregiving experience , validated through references. Key responsibilities include completing daily tasks via EVV or electronic timesheets, encouraging client independence, maintaining safety and infection control protocols, and ensuring a clean, safe environment. Assistants must respect client privacy, only perform tasks within their scope, and notify supervisors of any concerns such as changes in condition or safety issues. Qualifications include organizational skills, awareness of client limitations, and the ability to provide quality care . Only assist with self-administration of medications , never administer directly. The role requires accountability to the Home Care Manager and adherence to agency policies.
