About the Role

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for Construction Management and Capital Projects to lead the development and implementation of its Campus Master Plan. This role is pivotal in overseeing new construction projects, managing a small staff, and coordinating with various vendors. The successful candidate will serve as the main liaison to the Board of Trustees Campus Planning & Facilities Services committee and will work closely with local, state, and regional agencies. Key responsibilities include providing leadership and supervision for the construction management and capital projects team, managing and administering capital projects, and ensuring the successful execution of the Master Plan process. The role also involves preparing materials for Board of Trustee meetings, serving as the primary contact for general contractors, project managers, engineers, and officials, and closely coordinating with the College's Vice President for Business and Chief Financial Officer on project budgets. Applicants for the Associate Vice President position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 10 years' experience in construction management, project management, and large construction projects. Experience in an academic or non-profit setting is strongly desired. The ideal candidate will have a high level of knowledge in project management, construction budget management practices, and experience in all stages of capital projects. Strong leadership, supervisory, and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively with diverse populations and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
