We're looking for bright, enthusiastic individuals, with a strong work ethic and a desire to work in a firm with numerous other high-level attorneys.The position requires a litigator capable of handling a wide array of litigated matters, including but not limited to, contested motions, appeals and evidentiary hearings.ResponsibilitiesDrafting of motions, briefs, and memorandums of lawConducting legal researchAppearing on a wide range of court appearances including high level contested motions and evidentiary hearingsResponding to relevant discovery related requests and motion practiceMaintaining responsibility for all aspects of respective contested cases, including devising legal strategies and executing on legal strategiesRequirements5+ years of experience independently handling contested motion practiceAdmission to practice law in the state of NY, admitted in NJ/PA/CT is a plus!Superior writing, research, and oral advocacy abilitiesCapable of identifying and resolving legal issues quickly and proficientlyAble and eager to manage a heavy workload and produce a significant amount of legal workCompensation/BenefitsAt Friedman Vartolo, we believe that both ability and effort should be rewarded.
