We are looking for an Accountant to support day-to-day financial operations for a Contract position based in Utah. This opportunity is ideal for an accounting specialist who can maintain accurate records, reconcile key accounts, and help keep month-end activities on track. The role will contribute to core accounting functions across payables, receivables, and the general ledger while ensuring financial information is complete and reliable.

Responsibilities:
• Perform routine bank account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure accurate cash reporting.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a regular basis and resolve outstanding items in a timely manner.
• Prepare and record journal entries that support monthly accounting activity and maintain ledger accuracy.
• Assist with accounts payable processing, including reviewing transactions and confirming proper coding.
• Support accounts receivable activities by tracking incoming payments and helping resolve posting issues.
• Maintain the general ledger by verifying financial data and ensuring transactions are recorded correctly.
• Contribute to month-end close tasks by organizing supporting documentation and completing assigned reconciliations.• Experience working in an accounting role with hands-on responsibility for reconciliations and ledger maintenance.
• Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes.
• Ability to prepare journal entries accurately and in accordance with standard accounting practices.
• Proficiency in completing bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reviews.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify variances and follow through on resolutions.
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a Contract position.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with internal stakeholders.
