Staff Accountant

Position Location: Park City, Utah. This full‑time, year‑round Staff Accountant will work under a hybrid arrangement and report to the Accounting Manager. The role supports general accounting best practices and GAAP for POWDR’s accounting transactions. Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records and prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Assist in the monthly and annual close processes, including account reconciliations and journal entries. Monitor and analyze financial performance, identify variances, and provide recommendations. Answer accounting and financial questions through research and data interpretation. Develop and implement accounting procedures by reviewing current practices. Assist with audits by preparing necessary documentation for auditors. Protect the organization’s value by maintaining confidentiality. Participate in educational opportunities and professional organizations to enhance job knowledge. Complete other ad hoc duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Up to 2 years’ experience in accounting/finance, preferably in hospitality or outdoor recreation. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, Coupa, or FloQast. Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting. Demonstrated business acumen and ability to analyze financial details with a broad perspective. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills for working with employees at all levels.
