• 12-hour shifts -- 7 am - 7 pm with evening call post shift
• 5 - 7 shifts per month required
• 8 - 15 patients per day -- ranges higher in winter
• Inpatient pediatric floor setting
• Both inpatient rounding and call responsibilities
• Intubation skills required
• Admissions required -- call back rate 5 - 10%
• Phone consults required
