Pediatric Clinical Rehab Lead, Acute Care, Wolfson Children's Hospital

Wolfson Children's Hospital is hiring a Clinical Rehab Lead to our Pediatric Acute Care Rehab Services team in Jacksonville, FL.

This is a Full-Time opportunity working a Day shift schedule at our main Wolfson Children's Hospital campus in downtown Jacksonville. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of clinical patient care experience in an interdisciplinary acute care setting. 

Job Responsibilities: 

• Serves as a clinical resource for Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Language Pathology staff
• Promote evidence-based and patient- and family-centered care.
• Support consistency in clinical standards, treatment approaches, and departmental expectations.
• Assist clinicians with complex or high-acuity patient cases.
• Mentor new and developing therapists.
• Support onboarding and clinical competency development.
• Provide guidance to clinicians working with unfamiliar diagnoses, procedures, or patient populations.
• Help identify educational needs and opportunities for the team.
• Encourage professional growth and clinical excellence.
• Participate in identifying opportunities to improve patient care, clinical workflows, safety, and outcomes.
• Assist with implementation of departmental initiatives and evidence-based practice changes.
• Monitor and communicate clinical trends or barriers affecting patient care.
• Participate in quality improvement projects and development/revision of clinical resources.
• Serve as a communication link between frontline therapists and therapy leadership through participation on committees, rounds, daily operations.
• Help facilitate communication regarding clinical concerns, workflow challenges, and patient-care needs.
• Collaborate with nursing, physicians, case management, and other interdisciplinary partners when appropriate.
• Promote teamwork and a positive clinical culture.
• Assist leadership with identifying barriers to efficient patient flow and therapy access.
• Provide support and input regarding scheduling, staffing, equipment, documentation, and clinical workflows.
• Help troubleshoot day-to-day clinical issues within the scope of the role.

Experience Requirements:  

• 5 or more year(s) of pediatric clinical patient care experience Required

• 5 or more years of Acute Care experience Required

• 3-5 years of interdisciplinary teamwork experience Required

Education & Credential Requirements:

• Florida Department of Health License Required in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, OR Speech Language Pathology

• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (if SLP) Required

• Master of Occupational Therapy Or
• Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology Or

• Bachelor of Physical Therapy Degree Required

• Doctorate Degree Preferred

• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association
