Medical Assistant, CF - Substance Abuse Treatment Facility (SATF)

Job Title Medical Assistant Location Substance Abuse Treatment Facility, Corcoran, CA (Kings County) Position Summary The Medical Assistant will provide patient‑oriented procedures and support to the Primary Care Team under the administrative supervision of the Supervising Registered Nurse II/III and the clinical supervision of a Physician and Surgeon. Duties include assisting with daily clinic operations, communicating with patients and health care team members, and performing administrative tasks. This is a limited‑term position of 12 months, renewable up to 24 months or convertible to permanent. Responsibilities Perform patient‑oriented procedures under provider direction or via valid provider order. Support the Primary Care Team for daily clinic operations. Communicate effectively with patients, team members, and other health care personnel. Perform administrative duties and maintain accurate records. Address ongoing patient needs in collaboration with physicians and other health care providers. Promote efficient, appropriate, and cost‑effective use of health care resources. Minimum Qualifications Valid certificate from an agency approved by the Department of Consumer Affairs, Medical Board of California to practice as a Medical Assistant. Active certification status prior to appointment.
