Sterile Processing Technician - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night 5x8-Hour shifts from 23:00 to 07:00. Block schedule includes Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with mandatory weekend coverage.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to support our healthcare facility during the night shift. The technician will ensure the proper sterilization and processing of surgical instruments and supplies, utilizing knowledge of sterilization methods and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Process, sterilize, and prepare surgical instruments and equipment.
• Perform high-level disinfection and ensure proper labeling of processed items.
• Maintain equipment schedules and document sterilization processes.
• Adhere to strict infection control standards and protocols.
• Provide support in the organization and inventory of surgical supplies.
• Utilize robotic systems and specialized equipment as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of experience in sterile processing preferred.
• Certification from CBSPD, IAHCSMM, or HSPA is preferred.
• Familiarity with Epic charting system is preferred.
• Knowledge of SPM and robotics is a plus.
