Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Substance Abuse Therapist, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' substance use history and overall mental health status.

• Creating individualized treatment plans that address both addiction issues and any co-occurring mental health disorders.
\n
• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• Working collaboratively with your treatment team to ensure uninterrupted care and support throughout each client's recovery process.

• Providing educational resources and support to clients’ families to enhance their involvement in treatment.

• Maintaining thorough and accurate client records in compliance with ACA guidelines and state regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with a diverse range of clients experiencing various levels of substance use disorders, from early recovery stages to chronic addiction issues. Our patients may also present with underlying mental health conditions that require integrated therapeutic approaches. Your role will be crucial in helping to foster resilience, inspire confidence, and develop sustainable strategies to prevent relapse.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A valid state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A bachelor's degree is required; a master's or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field is highly preferred.

• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of evidence-based practices in addiction counseling.

• Strong therapeutic skills and the ability to motivate clients in their recovery journey.

• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team setting.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with specialized training or experience in addiction recovery, such as trauma-informed care or Dual Diagnosis treatment, will be given preferential consideration. Additionally, familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms would enhance your ability to serve our clients effectively.
