Location: 9320 Kirby Drive, Houston, TX 77054
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-Hour Lunch)
Compensation Range: $28-$30/hr

About the Role

One of our most prestigious clients is seeking a dedicated Human Resources Generalist to provide comprehensive HR support across multiple facets of our agency. This essential role offers a unique opportunity to influence organizational culture, ensure legal compliance, and contribute to continuous improvement in human capital practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Employee Relations: Act as a trusted resource for staff inquiries and concerns; assist managers with employee issues; promote a respectful, inclusive, and positive work atmosphere.
• Compliance & Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate employee files; monitor certifications, training, and licensing; ensure adherence to federal, state, and organizational policies; assist with audits.
• Benefits & Payroll Support: Guide employees through benefits enrollment and changes; support payroll processing and corrective actions; administer Worker’s Compensation and Modified Work programs.
• Policy Implementation: Communicate HR policies clearly; support updates to the employee handbook; ensure consistent application of procedures.
• Performance & Disciplinary Support: Assist managers with performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary documentation; support employee development initiatives.
• Offboarding & Rehire Processes: Manage resignations and terminations; conduct exit interviews; ensure smooth transition protocols.
• HR Data & Reporting: Create, analyze, and generate reports from HRIS (ADP/WFN); use data to support decision-making and compliance.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field; PHR certification a plus.
• Minimum of three years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a non-profit setting.
• Proficiency in ADP/WFN systems and advanced in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws; experience in investigations and compliance audits.
• Exceptional organizational, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capable of managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
