Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Overview Company Overview: At Crickler Vending, we provide office vending services and equipment to companies in multiple industries and of various sizes. We specialize in breakroom improvements that leave your staff empowered to take back their day with meal options that are healthy and convenient. Position Overview: The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for assisting in the efficient and accurate handling of all shipping and receiving duties in the warehouse. This position ensures that goods are received, stored, and shipped correctly, while maintaining an organized and clean warehouse. The clerk will work closely with the branch Route Supervisor and General Manager to support warehouse operations and contribute to inventory management and order fulfillment. Key Responsibilities Receiving Shipments: Verify and receive incoming shipments, checking for accuracy against purchase orders or invoices. Unload and inspect goods for damage, and ensure proper documentation is completed. Stocking and Organizing: Properly stock products in their designated storage locations. Maintain product rotation, ensuring older products are used first to minimize waste. Inventory Assistance: Assist with inventory management, including participating in physical counts, assisting with sorting, and confirming that products match recorded inventory levels. Order Picking: Accurately pick orders for shipping, ensuring the correct products and quantities are selected based on customer or internal orders. Shipping and Packing: Prepare and package goods for shipment, ensuring items are securely packed and labeled according to shipping guidelines. Coordinate with carriers for timely dispatch. Maintaining Warehouse Cleanliness: Perform regular cleaning and upkeep of the warehouse, including sweeping, floor scrubbing, trash removal, and organizing stock to maintain a safe and tidy working environment. Product Integrity and Safety: Check the condition of products, paying particular attention to expiration dates, temperature-sensitive items, and other product-specific requirements. Collaboration with Team Members: Work with the Shipping and Receiving team to meet operational goals, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and according to deadlines. Documentation and Reporting: Accurately complete shipping and receiving logs, ensuring all items are documented properly for inventory tracking. Report any discrepancies or issues to the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor. Facility Maintenance: Assist in identifying maintenance issues in the warehouse, reporting to the appropriate personnel for resolution. OCS Deliveries and Service Assets: Deliver OCS related products on site to accounts and properly service micro markets and vending machines, while providing exceptional customer service. Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as directed by the General Manager or other warehouse leadership as needed. Qualifications Must be able to read and understand basic instructions in English. Must be either forklift certified or willing to obtain certification. A valid driver’s license with a good driving record is required. Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks that involve bending, reaching, and carrying. Must have full range of motion in both upper and lower extremities to handle tasks such as lifting, carrying, and operating warehouse equipment. Skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks. Basic math skills, including the ability to count inventory, measure shipments, and verify orders. Good communication skills to interact with team members, supervisors, and other departments. Problem-solving abilities to address minor issues and discrepancies with inventory or shipments. Basic mechanical knowledge of warehouse equipment and an ability to follow safety guidelines.
