Our client is seeking an experienced Customer Service Specialist to join their Houston team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in the oil & gas, petrochemical, industrial services, or related energy industry who is comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting B2B customers, processing orders, managing purchase orders, coordinating with operations, and handling multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy. What You'll Do: Handle B2B customer communications by phone and email Manage a shared customer service email inbox Process customer purchase orders and convert them into work orders as needed Enter and process sales orders and parts orders accurately and efficiently Prepare parts quotes and assist with pricing Monitor and update project and service schedules Coordinate rental equipment orders, deliveries, and pickups Prepare customer, vendor, sales, and operations documentation Support field service and operations teams Assist with invoicing and billing-related documentation Identify discrepancies or missing information that could affect billing Maintain tracking systems, reports, and operational dashboards Cross-train on international parts orders, sales order entry, scheduling, and additional customer service functions What We're Looking For: 2+ years of experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Industrial Services , or a closely related industry – REQUIRED Customer service, order entry, inside sales, service coordination, or project coordination experience Experience processing purchase orders and customer orders Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Typing speed of 40+ WPM, with preference for candidates who can type significantly faster Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, and Word Experience with Sage/DM2, Salesforce, Salesforce Field Service, or SAP is a plus Ability to communicate effectively with customers, sales, technicians, vendors, and internal teams Reliable attendance and ability to work 100% onsite Why This Role?
