eeCorps Community Engagement Specialist - Cal-Wood

Community Engagement Specialist – Cal‑Wood Education Center Led by the Colorado Alliance for Environmental Education (CAEE), the Environmental Education Corps (eeCorps) AmeriCorps Program places AmeriCorps members at organizations throughout Colorado to increase environmental literacy for PreK‑12 students and implement the goals of the Colorado Environmental Education Plan. This position is located at the Cal‑Wood Education Center in Jamestown, CO. Member Duties Build trust with local communities of color by representing Cal‑Wood at school and community events Teach and evaluate environmental education programs in accordance with local curriculum standards Lead occasional weekend outdoor events for youth and families Incorporate science, math, history, creative writing, art, and team building into programs as requested by schools Engage multilingual groups and families in culturally responsive environmental education programs, sometimes at schools and sometimes at our mountain campus Deliver parent and student meetings to answer questions about Cal‑Wood’s programming and build excitement for environmental education Track progress and collect evaluation data for the program’s performance measures Attend all required eeCorps/AmeriCorps orientations, meetings, and trainings Complete and submit all necessary eeCorps paperwork and reports by predetermined deadlines Some local travel required and occasional statewide travel possible Program Benefits Stipend Health Coverage Living Allowance Childcare assistance if eligible Education award upon successful completion of service Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Minimum age 17, maximum age 99 Skills: communications, teaching/tutoring, general skills, leadership, youth development, environment, education, public speaking Employment Details Program type: AmeriCorps State / National Start/End date: 09/01/2026 – 08/15/2027 Work schedule: Full time Location: Colorado Term: Permits attendance at school during off hours; car recommended #J-18808-Ljbffr AmeriCorps
