Assistant Camp Director Details:

• Temporary position
• $ 13.84 / hour
• Part Time work available
• First Shift (Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 02:00pm)

• Help plan, organize and lead Fun in the Sun activities for multiple classes and age groups
• Work with the Director to plan the season of camps, including seeking donations
• Aid in managing daily schedules, attendance and transition between activities
• Help supervise participants and volunteers
• Maintain a safe environment by enforcing policies and handling incidents appropriately

Assistant Camp Director Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Experience working with children—preferably in a camp, recreation or educational setting
• Must be able to manage multiple groups and maintain a positive, energetic and patient attitude
• Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR certification is preferred.
• Must agree to and pass a background check.
• Regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods, as well as sit, bend, stoop, stretch and lift
• Use hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to operate equipment and lead activities
• Maintain visual awareness, including close and distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
• Hear and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Work outdoors daily, with exposure to sun, heat and varying weather conditions

• Applicant may be subject to a background check
• Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
