Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical

Kearney, NE

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days (0600–1830) and Nights (1800–0630) | Onsite | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 23-bed Medical Surgical unit
• Maintain patient-to-nurse ratios of up to 1:6 (1:5 on day shift Monday–Friday)
• Float to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for Medical Surgical assignments as needed, unless telemetry trained
• Adhere to holiday scheduling requirements, with no more than one holiday off requested per contract period

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Ability to work every other weekend
• Flexibility to float to PCU for Medical Surgical assignments if not telemetry trained

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Telemetry training or experience
