Chemical Operator

Responsibilities Performs manufacturing activities by adhering to a defined set of procedures and standard outputs to ensure consistent production quality. Fits, aligns, calibrates, and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product requirements. Works safely within the parameters of company Work Instructions and policies. Weighs and fills chemicals or bulk products in accordance with BPR. Operates production scales, including verifications and calibrations. Sets up, operates, cleans, and maintains equipment. Packages finished products for customers including labeling, sealing, and inspections per Work Instructions. Manages hazardous materials using all appropriate or mandatory safety gear. Completes documentation in a legible manner; verifies and reviews for accuracy. Maintains expected quality and quantity of work. Follows cGMP policies and procedures for handling, storage, packing, manufacturing, and distributing products. Supports co‑workers and works as a team player. Monitors quality of products and raw materials. Communicates with colleagues within manufacturing to exchange information and provide explanations or interpretations as necessary to maintain alignment and efficiency. Ensures compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and operational guidelines to support seamless manufacturing processes. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (GED). 1–3 years of related experience in a manufacturing facility, preferably in a chemical plant or food and beverage industry. Knowledge of RCRA and cGMP regulations. Mechanical ability, basic math skills, and familiarity with chemical handling, storage, and safety protocols. Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem analysis skills. Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel). Critical decision‑making skills, creativity, and multi‑tasking ability. Strong interpersonal communication skills; ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Forklift experience is a plus. Safety and Equipment Adhere to all safety precautions and PPE requirements while completing assigned duties in a safe manner.
